The HTC Beijing Research Center is seeking to accelerate the pace of scientific research and development in innovating new computing systems and algorithms for creating new data-intensive end-user experiences. The center reports directly to Dr. Edward Chang, Head of HTC Research. Dr. Chang was the Director of Google Research at China from 2006 to 2012. Before that, he was a full professor at University of California, Santa Barbara. Besides his current vice president position at HTC, he is also appointed as an adjunct professor at HKUST, Hong Kong.
