A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Choi’s laboratory at GRU Cancer Center to perform the studies of next-gen genomic and epigenomic data and consult with researchers as well as design computational algorithms and create bioinformatics pipelines. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a strong background in complex algorithms and programming skill in Perl and JAVA.
Education and experience:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a background in Bioinformatics or Computer Science. Experience in analyzing next-gen sequencing data for WGS, RNA-seq, MBD-seq, BS-seq, an ChIP-seq.
Responsibilities:
A training position that is designed to learn through engagement in an advanced level of scientific technical and administrative work in support of research efforts in an assigned laboratory or clinical research setting. Participate in project planning and development of research approaches and programs to achieve specific project goals. Participate in research data collection and documentation with relevant guidelines and protocols; develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures, publish results in scientific journals.
