Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow at Shanghai Jiao Tong University The Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is looking for three well-trained, talented and creative computational biologists to lead the analysis of multidimensional next-generation sequencing data and microarray data(genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics). This is a large, well-funded integrative omics project that has just gotten started. The project will involve integrative bioinformatic analysis and development of new statistical and algorithmic approaches. Candidates should have a PhD in a quantitative discipline, programming experience, a strong publication record and experience in one or more of the following areas: human genomics, genome-scale analysis, transcriptomics, next-generation sequence analysis and regulatory genomics. Experience in interdisciplinary collaborations is a plus. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one of the top-ranked academic institutions in China, was established in 1896, and has been leading the scientific research in China. Bio-X Institutes (http://www.bio-x.cn/en/index.php) is a well-established interdisciplinary centre at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The current director of the Institutes is Prof. Lin He, a senior fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the honorary director is Prof. Steve Zhu, Nobel Laureate in Physics. Several in-house facilities are active, including the next generation sequencing facility with Illumina HiSeq 2000 and high-performance computers. We provide competitive salary and housing benefits.
