The Department of Politics and International Relations is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Quantitative Methods. This is a 0.5 FTE post, 18.75 hours per week, and is available from September 2012.
The postholder will act as the Administrator for the Quantitative Methods Hub of the ESRC funded Doctoral Training Centre which will involve supporting the development of quantitative methods provision for graduate students across the Social Science Division. The postholder will also undertake independent research in the field of quantitative methods and provide a small amount of graduate teaching to the department.
Applicants should have a completed PhD in an area related to Political Science, Quantitative Methods, or related areas; a track record of excellent quality publications; the ability to teach at graduate level; and excellent communication and organisational skills.
The appointment is fixed-term for two years from 1 September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.
