Research in Liang Lab is centered on understanding the basic principle of cellular processes including autophagy, apoptosis, DNA damage/repair, and intracellular trafficking in cancer development (colon and breast cancer and leukemia) and infectious disease. We make use of cutting-edge technology including proteomic study, confocal microscopy/live cell imaging, primary and tumor cell culture, and murine model for cancer and virus-related research. Our lab is multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team, and postdocs are expected to conduct independent and challenging research under the PI’s supervision and work in a highly collaborative manner.
We are seeking SELF-MOTIVATED AND GOAL-DRIVEN postdoctoral candidates, with a PhD or MD/PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, microbiology, or related area. Candidates with demonstrable competence and diligence and significant experience in standard lab techniques (tissue culture, IP, IF, FACS, PCR, etc) will be considered. High priority will be given to those with expertise in protein purification/analysis and the mouse model. Please send a cover letter, CV, three reference letters to Dr. Chengyu Liang at Chengyu.liang@usc.edu. |
