Post-doc position
The Department of Neurosurgery (Director: Prof. Ulrich Sure) at the Medicine Faculty, University of Duisburg-Essen invites applications for a postdoctoral research position. This full time position is immediately available and will be initially for a period of 2 years. Renewals are possible and the payment follows German 13 TV-L group. We provide the outstanding research opportunities for promising young scientists.
Successful candidates will join an enthusiastic, collaborative and international research team. The research laboratories are well equipped with state-of-art technology. Our running projects focus on the genetic and molecular mechanisms of cerebral vascular malformation and brain tumors.
Requirements:
• The successful applicant should hold a Ph. D or M.D. in a relevant research area such as genetics, cell biology and molecular biology. Experience in angiogenic research at the levels of genetic (epigenetic), cell-based and animal studies will be an advantage.
• The applicant should have a strong interest in clinically based-basic research, and be able to creatively and independently attack scientific questions.
• The candidate should have excellent English written and oral communication skills.
